Jason Hepburn BE (Chem) – Mining & Metals Greenfields

Director

Chemical engineer with new process development, study, design, project
management, commissioning and operations experience across a range
of industries and commodities. He has detailed project experience from
small (<$1Million) to major (>$1Billion) projects.

He is particularly competent with projects involving;
• Minerals process including nickel, uranium, copper, magnesium,
gold, lithium, alumina
• Chemicals including ammonia, methanol, chlorine, biofuels,
ammonium nitrate, caustic, sulphuric acid, nitric acid and
hydrochloric acid
• Water treatment, sugar and beverage production

He has unit operation specialties including leaching (tank and heap),
filtration, crystallisation, centrifugation, fluidized beds, distillation,
solid/liquid separation, drying calcination, thickening and evaporation.
Excellent knowledge on crushing/milling, flotation, solvent extraction and
precipitation.

Jason has beld senior project and managing positions over the last 15
years. He has worked in execution projects in both EPCM, EPC and
Owners Team roles.

He is extremely competent in new process development to ensure
information/strategies are implemented to reduce
delivery/commissioning/operational risks.

John Fry BE (Chem), BCom (Fin) – Mining & Metals Brownfields

Director

A Lead Process Engineer with fifteen years’ experience in process design,
construction and commissioning. John also has significant technology
development experience being involved in R+D, Pilot Plants and
technology trade-off studies.

John also has finance experience having completed a dual Commerce
(Finance major) degree with a strong technical knowledgebase, he has
worked in numerous consulting roles developing financial models for the
evaluation of brownfield operating costs, tradeoff studies, and value
driver tree analysis.

John has also been an integral part in the execution of a number of small
(<$20M) capital projects to optimize existing brownfield assets,
completing the full spectrum of activities from project management,
process design, procurement, construction management, commissioning
and handover to operations. He also has experience working in large
scale ($200M to $1B) projects in study and execution phases.

Paul Carey BE (Elec), BSc (Met) – Specialist Industries

Director

A qualified professional with over twenty-five years in the resource and
complex process industries involved with numerous greenfield and
brownfield portfolio projects at multiple operational sites across Australia.
He has an extremely competent, well-balanced commercial and
technical capability based on practical experience with running a
business, project management, contract management, engineering
management and commissioning. Possessing the ability to establish the
business case from multiple perspectives ensures project strategies are
successfully developed to achieve the business objectives.

Paul has a proven track record in aligning stakeholders and driving
project outcomes through all stages of projects from concept to start-up
and ongoing operational support

Michael Aspinall BE (Chem) – Oil & Gas

Director

A skilled Chemical / Process Engineer with 23 years’ industry experience
in design, operation, commissioning, sales and projects, Michael Aspinall
has worked throughout Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, China,
Vietnam, Jamaica and Bolivia. He has lived in Vietnam, Thailand, France
and Jamaica through his career. Michael has worked across a wide
range fields (sugar, fuel / beverage alcohol, oil and gas gas, and mineral
processing industries), in brownfield operations and greenfield studies and
projects.

Michael can provide Project Sponsorship, Peer/Risk and Safety Review
oversight on projects through to study/project management, process
design, procurement, construction management, commissioning and
operations management.
